As you might have seen, we’ve made some changes at Node in the last few months. We wanted a brand that matched our ambition and could take Node to the next level. We went on a journey to define the spirit of Node and we’ve captured it within a fantastic new brand.
It’s been five years since Node was created and in that time, the company has evolved significantly. It was important to establish our new direction whilst staying true to our beginnings. We started Node because we wanted to change the way places were designed. We wanted to put the emphasis back on the people who were going to live, learn, work and connect in that place, not simply aesthetics or budgets. Along our journey, we’ve changed but this belief has always been central to the Node way of doing things. We felt that our old brand didn’t quite capture this.
We are all about people, whether it’s our clients, employees or the people who use the places we design. We reached out to our friends at ORB for some help with our brand and we embarked on a rebranding journey. It all started with a lot of questions, some fun activities and a few glasses of wine but together, we were able to create a brand that defined the Node way of designing.
We are urban designers, landscape architects and heritage consultants but whose mission is to improve the lives of others by designing places that move people. This has become our philosophy and approach to each project. You can create beautiful spaces but it means nothing without people to enjoy it. We wanted Node to embody human centered design. We put people at the heart of everything we do to give today’s communities and future generations an environment to be proud of.
We love being able to connect people and this was the inspiration behind our new logo. It represents the places we design and how they connect with people. You may have noticed each Node employee has their own interpretation of the logo; we did this so everybody had the chance to show off their creativity and add their personal touch.
The new Node is a celebration of the past five years but also represents new beginnings. It’s a new direction we’re excited about and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. We are Node.
