Node, together with bid partners CBRE and SYSTRA has successfully won a competitive tender for a city centre masterplan for the historic city of Worcester.
The project will see the creation of a masterplan for Worcester that enables the city to achieve its ambitious vision for growth and develop as a national and internationally renowned destination that embraces its unique historic and landscape environment; located on the banks of the River Severn and with an unrivalled wealth of heritage assets.
Node’s in house skills of urban design, landscape and heritage will enable the team to identify creative and sensitive development opportunities and public realm enhancements that will enable Worcester to rightfully take its place on the international stage.
Project partners SYSTRA will provide strategic movement insight into the masterplanning process and CBRE will ensure that the proposals are as viable and deliverable as they are ambitious. The project team has previously collectively undertaken highly successful city-wide masterplanning exercises in Bicester and Wolverhampton.
Node managing director, Nigel Wakefield, said:
“We are delighted to have won this exciting and significant piece of work for Worcester. We are looking forward to working collaboratively with Worcester City Council, stakeholder partners and the local community to define exciting proposals for the city’s future.”
