Node was been commissioned to undertake a targeted visual and heritage impact assessment for a large city centre development including 23 storey tower.
The additional assessment was undertaken at the request of Birmingham City Council officers, who sought additional information and evidence following a post-submission reconfiguration of the scheme’s design. The assessment considered viewpoints located along St Martin’s Walk, Birmingham, focussing on potential impacts to the grade II* listed St Martin’s Church, one of Birmingham’s most significant landmarks.
Node delivered a robust heritage and visual impact report in support of the planning application, and carefully negotiated with Birmingham City Council’s conservation officers on behalf of the client.
