Node were commissioned by BG Projects to undertake a heritage assessment for a site located at Henllan Caravan Park, approximately4km northeast of Llanfair Caereinion, Montgomeryshire. The proposed development involved the expansion of the caravan park, including refurbishment of existing buildings, demolition of disused agricultural structures, and the addition of new lodges and caravans.
The scheme required careful consideration of many heritage sensitivities, given its context within the setting of several scheduled monuments and listed buildings.
We produced a heritage impact assessment to support the full planning application, following detailed analysis of the site and its sensitive surroundings.
Our heritage assessment concluded that the landscape-led and heritage-led design of the scheme would result in at most minor level adverse impacts to local heritage assets, by nature of change within their setting.
