Node were commissioned by BPN Architects to provide heritage assessment to support the RIBA Stage 2 proposals for the construction of a new dwelling within the grounds of a grade II* listed house.
The scheme required careful consideration of many heritage sensitivities, given the proposals to construct a new single storey family dwelling within the former walled kitchen garden of Clopton House, a grade II* listed country house, located to the north of Stratford-upon-Avon.
Node delivered a heritage assessment of Clopton House and its grounds, including its walled kitchen garden, and fish ponds.
The heritage assessment informed the pre-application phases of design and planning, and identified and recorded the baseline position, assessed its value, and provided guidance on how the proposed development could affect the character and heritage of Clopton House.
