University of Wolverhampton: a large UK university offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in health, education, business, and arts
As part of Node’s work for The University of Wolverhampton Landscape Masterplan, we produced a comprehensive design guide that dovetailed with the work on overall vision and campus identity to provide a framework from which future design decisions can be based.
The purpose of the Design Guide was not to dictate all future development, but rather ensure that a basic ethos and sense of place is reflected in the landscape and buildings of each campus, putting the experience of staff, students and visitors above other requirements.
The materials and colour within the design guide reflect the agreed campus identity and look to promote this identity to give a sense of place that gives students pride and ownership over their place of study or work.
