PCPT Architects – An award winning architectural practice that combines high quality, sustainable design values with commercial acumen
We worked alongside PCPT Architects, Co-Lab at Birmingham City University and Jewellery Quarter Development Trust to create and deliver a pocket park for an underutilised piece of land within the Jewellery Quarter Conservation Area.
Collaboration allowed us to create a number of ideas for the location. The park was completed and has been selected to be shown on BBC Gardeners’ World.
The final design can be transported to different sites around the city. It is hoped the project will start a movement in the city, and change people’s perception of places within Birmingham. A new module for undergraduate and post-graduate architecture and landscape architecture at Birmingham City University has also been created following the project.
