I am writing this 48 hours post-marathon. Stairs are my enemy, I am eating like a horse and 8pm is looking like it might be a stretch target for bedtime, but the runner’s high remains strong!
I am excited to join the urban design team of Node! I identified with Node’s philosophy about a people-focused and holistic approach through urban design, landscape architecture and heritage. I would like to make use of the opportunities to develop my career while contributing to various projects with the same philosophy.
With the statistics that architectural activities are directly responsible for 50% of energy consumption, and indirectly – for approximately 60%, it is sensible that mitigation of the issue with nature-based solutions is a key tool in achieving improved environmental performance within the field of architecture.
A sunlit plaza lies in front of the Curfew Tower on Abbey Green, a place where historical narratives are experienced through the modern built environment. This May, the people of Barking received an improved public realm scheme that speaks of the area’s heritage and yet, gives a promise of daily enjoyment of its present and future.
