Covering a large part of Longbridge public realm, ‘Area 1 – Longbridge Lane’ and ‘Area 2 – Town centre’, are ambitious projects that will build a powerful and clear narrative set of values and brand for Longbridge.
Impact
Node utilised their knowledge of contemporary trends in landscape architecture, along with efficient 3D skills, to successfully prepare the RIBA Stage 3 landscape design pack.
The Longbridge Lane design solutions set out an aspiration for turning this busy street with dominating hard landscape into a chain of urban oases, increasing wildlife and a sense of wellbeing, whilst the proposed design for the town centre demonstrates, without wholesale replacement, the integration of the proposed planting and materials palette into the renewed image of a heart public space for the town, around which activity, events and community will be centred.
