Birmingham Metropolitan College – A further and higher education college with eight campuses located in different areas of Birmingham

Approach
We adopted a collaborative approach to produce innovative solutions for this courtyard space within a tight budget and time frame. We designed, managed and delivered the courtyard, which has been completed and provided designs for a winder masterplan within the campus which are to be delivered on a phased approach.
Impact
Students now meet and socialise in the small courtyard space. The college can have confidence in the rest of the scheme to maximise car parking on site without compromising the quality of the landscape whilst the effective screening will please local residents. Two further enclosed courtyards will help to create a campus where students feel safe and secure.
