At Node, our passion for our work and our commitment to making a positive impact on people’s lives leads us to go beyond the remit of our fee paying commissions, by engaging in pro bono projects, which we call ‘using our powers for good’. At present, these include developing a concept for the development of a series of pocket parks in redundant urban spaces across Birmingham, including working collaboratively with students at Birmingham City University to deliver a pilot scheme in the Jewellery Quarter, together with producing a detailed design for re-imagining the external landscape at a home for the elderly, creating spaces for residents to gather, grow food and eat.
