Node were contacted by DTZ Investors to create a public realm design for Cannon Street in Birmingham city centre. Despite the street’s central location, the current public realm was recognised as being very tired, with retailers suffering as a result.
Impact
Node identified the heritage significance of the existing townscape as a key determinant of the design development process, ensuring that the streetscape proposals responded sensitively to the existing built form, whilst creating a vastly enhanced environment for shoppers and visitors to the city centre.
