Approach
We created a mixed-use masterplan including up to 650 homes in Muxton, Telford. Our approach was to ensure that a scheme of this size managed to retain a sense of place through the provision of a range of character areas, a mix of uses including a range of housing and through the creation of high quality streets and public spaces. It was also essential to promote connectivity to the new primary school, and to existing facilities within the village itself.
Result
A planning application was submitted that featured a range of homes that were connected by high quality streets and public spaces.
Our proposal meets the identified need for additional housing in the area as well as providing new school places for children. This would have a positive impact on the village and ensure future generations have a beautiful environment.
